Prayer & Healing Ministry

Meeting on the 2nd and 4th Saturdays of the month, our ministry provides emotional and spiritual support for those who have endured the loss of a loved one through divorce. With biblically-based video resources and supportive small groups, our hope and prayer is that we will experience God’s gracious healing.

Harmonies in Christ is an ensemble of 2nd-8th graders who want to use their lives and their God-given love for singing to glorify Him and encourage others to worship Him too.  They meet Friday nights at 6:15pm (Sept. – June) and perform 6 times a year in Sunday worship services.

Heart to Heart facilitates mentoring relationships among women of all ages to help them grow deeply with each other and Jesus Christ.  Along with prayer supporters, these women commit six months to each other, starting with a training/orientation and ending with a group celebration!

Caring Ministry

Our goal is to share God’s love and hope with displaced and at-risk men, women, and children in our community by collaborating with local Christian homeless shelters, such as Beacon Light Mission (men), Doors of Hope (women), and Community’s Child (women with children).

We serve at Beacon Light Mission and Doors of Hope on the first Sunday and second Saturday evenings of each month.  We serve at Community’s Child on a as-needed basis.

Caring Ministry

Once per year, Bread of Life Church partners with Medical Mission Adventures to host a fully operational health clinic to provide free medical, dental, optical, and pharmacy services to the underserved in our community.  This is an opportunity for us to open our church to serve and pray for those in need.

Orchestra

Musical Group

The purposes are: to use orchestral music to glorify God, to enhance the worship experience of others, to foster the enjoyment of music, and to develop friendship and fellowship among its participants.  Performing from a repertoire of Christian sacred music or music often used in Christian settings, presentations are typically during the Christmas season and Easter Sunday.

Comprised of musicians of all ages, first-time participants may be asked to audition.  Typically two rehearsal sessions are scheduled for each presentation, each up to 2 hours in length.

Caring Ministry

Formed in November of 2006 after much prayer, our member, Marilyn Long was inspired to start the Prayer Shawl Ministry at Bread of Life Church. Prayer shawls and/or blankets are given because many of our members as well as nonmembers, are in need of the Lord’s comfort, care, encouragement, healing, and hope.  The group meets quarterly, 4 times a year, and the members knit or crochet year round.
