Family Gathering

October 1, 2025 | Dan Low

We are so deeply grateful to God for bringing us together at the 18th General Assembly of the Ling Liang World-Wide Evangelistic Mission Association in Jakarta, Indonesia on September 18-22, 2025!

Traveling from India, Malaysia, Philippines, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Toronto, and Los Angeles, we cherished the triennial privilege of fellowshipping as brothers and sisters in Christ from the Ling Liang family. We are especially thankful to Elder Harry Danui (President of LLWWEMA from September 2022-September 2025) for his faithful leadership of our Association and to Rev. Dr. Ayub Rusmanto for his effective planning of the 18th General Assembly. We were truly blessed by their respective teams as well as through the loving and generous hospitality of our fellow believers in Indonesia!

As we explored the theme, “One Mission, Many Churches: Advancing the Gospel Together, Impacting the World,” the Holy Spirit strengthened our resolve to proclaim the name of Jesus to the ends of the earth—both as individual churches and as a collective of like-minded churches who share a common heritage.

Lord willing, our next General Assembly will be in SoCal on September 14-18, 2028 (shortly after the LA 2028 Summer Olympics). Coming on the heels of world-class athletes traveling to Los Angeles from everywhere, we are especially thrilled for each of our Ling Liang brothers and sisters who will make the journey for our 19th General Assembly!

Representing the North American District, our church will be honored once again to host our family gathering (last General Assembly at our church—2019). We are eagerly anticipating what the Holy Spirit will do in and through our moments together—as well as the time between now and then.

As we live today and look ahead, let’s consecrate ourselves to God’s will (our spiritual foundation as disciples), collaborate together for God’s kingdom (our mutual partnership as siblings), and celebrate Jesus in God’s name (our final aim as worshipers).

With much joy and gratitude to God for graciously uniting us as his beloved children, “let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith” (Hebrews 12:1-2)!
